Minecraft, the bestselling adventure game of all time, will be reimagined as an animated series. Game creator Mojang Studios and Netflix are teaming up to build storylines with new characters populating the inspired, pixelated worlds that gamers have come to love.

The new CG-animated series is in development with WildBrain, the studio behind Netflix’s animated hits Sonic Prime, Ninjago: Dragons Rising, and Carmen Sandiego and will feature an original story with new characters, showing the world of Minecraft in a new light.

One of the most significant and popular games of all time, Minecraft has engaged gamers of all ages for 15 years with immersive blocky landscapes and interactive escapades, selling more than 300 million copies worldwide.

Beyond the screen, Minecraft creates community IRL with live events and highly coveted products including toys, shirts, and merch.
